In January 2011, BVSC designed an online survey to map the impact of the funding cuts to the voluntary and community sector and its beneficiaries. The survey followed on from a series of thematic funding cuts events that the Third Sector Assembly networks hosted throughout September and October 2010. The aim of these events was to map where known cuts and potential cuts were taking place and to discuss the potential impact of the cuts.

The survey covered the following areas:

On the 9th February 2011, key voluntary sector leaders and public sector commissioners within the Environmental sector met to discuss priorities for action and collaboration in terms of minimising the impact of the cuts on beneficiaries and to agree a consistent approach to communications with the voluntary and community sector.

On the 7th February 2011, key voluntary sector leaders and public sector commissioners within the Children, Young People and Families Directorate met to discuss priorities for action and collaboration in terms of minimising the impact of the cuts on beneficiaries and to agree a consistent approach to communications with the voluntary and community sector.
