A welcome from the Learning, Training & Employment Pathways Champion!

Hi, my name is Yvonne Davies and I am the newly appointed Learning, Training and Employment Pathways Champion.

I am the Chief Executive of Birmingham's Citizen Advice Bureau and I fell that the positive development of the Third Sector Assembly is really important. The Assembly has the potential to bring a strong voice for the voluntary and community sector who can come together in a variety of ways to pursue common interests and help shape strategic development of Birmingham from a third sector perspective by:

• Adopting an approach to policy development within L-TEP that locates the Third Sector proactively as an agenda setter
• Creating space for third sector organisations and networks operating within LETP to progress their priorities. We organise formal meetings, informal discussion groups, group emails and online discussion forums
• Making use of a full range of inclusive and interactive communications channels. We produce a regular LETP e-bulletin
• Building upon third sector activity and established good practice within LETP. We produce policy briefings and offer reference to research publications.
